چکیده
red arrow, on both plots, represents the administration of bevacizumab. The average ADC is 3.16x10 m/s and 3.09x10 m/s, respectively, with coefficients of variation of 4.81% and 3.86%, respectively. The patient exhibiting progressive disease was imaged at both 1.5T and 3.0T (left) while the patient exhibiting a complete response to bevacizumab (right) was imaged only at 1.5T. NOTE Internal Medicine Evaluation of S100B in cerebrospinal fluid as a potential biomarker for neurological diseases in calves
S100B in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF-S100B) was measured in calves with 20 neurologic and 21 non-neurologic diseases to clarify its utility as a biomarker for neurologic diseases. The median CSF-S100B value in the neurologic disease group (43.0 ng/ml) was significantly higher than that in the non-neurologic disease group (10.2 ng/ml). As CSF-S100B levels in calves with neurologic diseases widely d...
متن کاملRelative expression of fibroblast growth factor-1 in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with bacterial meningitis; A Western Blot analysis
Meningitis is an inflammation of the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord, thereby involving the arachnoid, the pia and the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). It is divided into viral and bacterial meningitis. For different reasons the diagnosis of bacterial meningitis is very important. The examination of CSF samples may provide information about causative microorganism. The sensivity of ...
متن کاملCerebrospinal fluid nerve growth factor and total protein concentration in the children with meningitis
Meningitis is one of the most common infectious cerebral nervous system (CNS), defined as an inflammation of the meninges. It is clinically categorized into a chronic and acute based on the acuity of symptoms. Vomiting, bulging fontanel and fever are the main symptoms in the patients with meningitis. Bacterial meningitis is a severe, potentially life-threatening infection that is associated wit...
متن کاملBuccal Fat Pad for Management of Cerebrospinal Fluid Leakage Using Endoscopy: A Randomized Clinical Trial
Background and Aim: Several surgical techniques have been so far used for treating Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) leakage (rhinorrhea) such as using abdominal fat or fascia lata, but these methods have complications such as the presence of several surgeons in variable fields in the operating room or cosmetic complications for donors such as the surgical scar. This study aimed to investigate using bu...
متن کاملThe hydrophilic proteins of lung surfactant as a prognostic marker in experimental pneumonia
Abstract BACKGROUND: SP-A and SP-D are hydrophilic proteins which regulate the inflammatory response of the lung. Pasteurella multocida is one of the most common bacteria isolated from calves suffering from shipping fever pneumonia, one of the most problems in dairy herds. OBJECTIVE: Evaluation of surfactant content may provide a valuable diagnostic tool for detection of calf pneumonia due to ...
